First worldwide online flow chemistry experiment
Senior year pupils in pre-university education (VWO) will be able to remotely carry out a chemistry experiment at VU University Amsterdam from 1 June. During this ‘web experiment’ they will use the internet access at their schools to operate the university’s state-of-the-art flow chemistry equipment, with the aim of safely and efficiently producing a chemical called methyl orange. On this project, the university is collaborating with FutureChemistry, a company that tailor-made the equipment for this experiment.
